Australian Tomography Workshop

The MCSS is proud to be sponsoring the 2nd Australian Tomography Workshop which is being held at Monash University on 13 and 14 November 2008.

The aim of the meeting is to create awareness of each others work involving all aspects of tomography and to foster links and collaborations. Speakers include Jean-Pierre Guedon from Nantes' Polytech in France.

To submit an abstract, complete this template and return it by email to Sherry Mayo. The deadline for abstract submissions is 30 September 2008.

The Medipix family of single photon counting imaging detectors

The Monash Centre for Synchrotron Science is proud to host this seminar by Dr Michael Campbell on Friday 14 November, 11am, Lecture Theatre S10 Building 25.

Dr Campbell is experienced in High Energy Physics detector design and also founded the Medipex collaborations, which have used successive generations of CMOS technology to bring spectroscopic X-ray imaging closer to reality. He is the spokesman of the Medipix2 and Medipix3 Collaborations and has authored or co-authored over 100 scientific publications, mostly in the field of hybrid pixel detectors.

You are invited to attend the 3rd Asia Oceania Forum for Synchrotron Radiation Research Workshop which will be held on December 4 and 5, 2008 in Melbourne Australia, hosted by the Australian Synchrotron. The workshop is being held in conjunction with the Australian Synchrotron Users Meeting (2-3 December 2008) and Next Generation Science Workshop (4 December 2008).

Registrations and abstract submissions are now open.

X-ray Science, GRC Conference, 2009

The event is scheduled for August 2-7, 2009 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, USA.
